Information about the piece |
The White Stripes were a rock duo made up of Jack White and his wife, Meg White. Their musical style included rock, blues, punk, and folk. Together, they released six studio albums and won 19 awards. The lead singer, Jack White, wrote Seven Nation Army in 2002. The song features a very distinct guitar riff (although it sounds like a bass guitar, it is in fact a guitar!) which is present throughout the whole song. It is made up of 7 notes and is similar to the first movement of Bruckner’s Fifth Symphony. This iconic song has become an anthem at sporting events.
