| Information about the piece |
Original version The Concerto in D Minor is by far the most well-known of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's flute concertos. It communicates a feeling of apprehension, a reflection of the composer's strong involvement in the pre-romantic "Sturm und Drang" ("storm and passion") movement. The serenity of the second movement contrasts with the agitation of the third. |
