Yes. You can learn saxophone with any standard saxophone, whether alto, tenor or soprano. Tomplay Learn is designed to teach the fundamentals of playing the instrument, regardless of the type of saxophone you play. A well-adjusted instrument and a suitable beginner mouthpiece will help you progress more comfortably, but even an entry-level saxophone is enough to get started, practise regularly and enjoy playing your first songs.

It depends on your goals, any previous musical experience and how regularly you practise. With short, regular practice sessions, many beginners can start playing their first notes, simple rhythms and easy songs within a few weeks. Building confidence with both hands, reading music and playing more independently usually takes longer. Tomplay Learn lets you progress at your own pace, so you can repeat lessons and revisit songs whenever necessary.
Tomplay combines saxophone lessons with interactive music-making. Unlike a video-only saxophone course, Tomplay lets you practise directly with interactive sheet music, professional backing tracks and tools designed for repetition and progression. You can slow down the tempo without changing the pitch, loop difficult passages, follow the cursor through the score and play along with accompaniment. The goal is not only to watch lessons, but to start playing real music from the beginning.
Yes. Tomplay Learn is included in a Tomplay subscription at no additional cost.
