Reflection Rag was written by Scott Joplin, published in 1917 by Stark Music Company under the subtitle "Syncopated Musings". Reflection Rag is a late ragtime piano piece whose more chromatic harmony and reflective character mark it as part of Joplin’s final creative period. While not as widely known as his early hits, it is frequently cited by ragtime historians as an example of the deeper, more introspective style of Joplin’s later rags.
