by Yes
Roundabout was written by Jon Anderson and Steve Howe, written in 1971 and released later that year on Yes’s album Fragile, also appearing as a single. Conceived while the band were traveling through Scotland, it is a progressive rock piece with intricate guitar work, organ solos and surreal, imagery‑rich lyrics. Roundabout became one of Yes’s best‑known songs, giving the group a US Top 20 hit and remaining a staple of classic rock radio and the band’s live shows.
