Tartini - Sonata « Didone Abbandonata » in G minor, Opus 1, n° 10 - I. Tempo moderato
Tartini was wont to give his Sonatas enigmatic titles drawn from classical drama; the title of Sonata No. 10, "Didone abbandonata", only became popular in the 19th century, but it suits the both pathetic and tormented atmosphere of the work and can undoubtedly be traced back to the composer. Play the violin score of the 1st Moderato movement of the superb "Didone abbandonata" Sonata by Tartini, accompanied by a professional recording of the piano part.
