Information about the piece

Original version

Includes two Deutsche Grammophon recordings by David Oistrakh and Nemanja Radulović

The Concerto in D Major written by Pyotir Ilych Tchaikovsky in 1878 is one of the most well-known violin concertos. It was composed during one month in Clarens in Switzerland, on the edge of Lake Léman, where Tchaikovsky was recovering from depression brought on by the failure of his marriage. In order to compose as well as possible for the violin, he relied on the advice of his violinist friend and pupil, Iosif Kotek.

Play the score of the second Canzonetta. Andante movement of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, accompanied by the professional recording of the orchestra to accompany you and listen to the interpretations by David Oïstrakh and Nemanja Radulović just for pleasure or for inspiration.
