Richard Clayderman has managed to do what few French pianists have done before him: build an international career which has earned him worldwide acclaim. He now plays in some of the biggest venues in France and Europe. Many of Richard Clayderman’s pieces have been certified gold.
He started playing piano at a young age and at 6 years old, he was able to read music better than he spoke his own native language. After being accepted to the Conservatoire de Paris, he turned his back on classical music and devoted himself to contemporary music, where his style blossomed.
The Ballade pour Adeline (1977) by Richard Clayderman is one of his best-known pieces, which he dedicated to his newborn daughter. Like most of his compositions, the piece is lively and entertaining - it's perfect for appealing to a wider audience, as proven by the success of the piece.
