Yiruma is a South Korean pianist and composer who began learning the piano at only 5 years old. Since graduating from King's College London, his international career has exploded, and he continues to write beautiful music for solo piano or in collaboration with K-Pop artists. He has greatly contributed to making classical music more accessible to all, especially the younger generation.
His music can be described as minimalist, yet catchy. His simple compositions always hit the right note. A good example of this is River Flows In You, one of his first compositions - to this day, it is still his most popular piece. It is a very clear example of Yiruma’s neoclassical style.
