Information about the piece

Claude Debussy was a very influential composer from the 19th and 20th centuries. His music is often considered impressionist music, although he disliked this term.

Clair de Lune is the third of four movements from the Suite Bergamasque. Written in 1890 and published in 1905, this suite is often considered the best piano composition from Debussy’s youth. It has four movements: Prélude, Menuet, Clair de Lune and Passepied.

It's important to think about the tempo of this piano sheet music before you begin playing: too slow and it will lack fluidity; too fast and it will be less expressive. While the left hand mainly provides the accompaniment, it still plays an important role and on occasion, it provides the melody, so balance and fluidity between the hands are key.

Play the piano sheet music for Clair de Lune, set at an intermediate level, accompanied by a high-quality recording of the violin part.
