Walk was written by Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear), in 2010 and released in 2011 as the third single from their seventh studio album Wasting Light. Walk is an alternative rock song whose lyrics about starting over and learning to "walk" again were inspired in part by Dave Grohl watching his daughter take her first steps. The track topped the Billboard Rock Songs chart in 2011 and gained further prominence through its music video and its use over the end credits of the 2011 Marvel film Thor.
