Feeling Good was written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse, written in 1964 for the musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd. Feeling Good is a show tune from that British musical, first performed on stage in 1964 and later made famous by Nina Simone’s 1965 recording. The song has since become a standard in jazz and popular music, inspiring numerous covers including Michael Bublé’s widely known 2005 version.
