by Muse
The Handler was written by Matthew Bellamy, written by Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy and released in June 2015 on their seventh studio album Drones. The Handler is a heavy, riff‑driven rock track that forms part of Drones’ dystopian concept narrative about an individual controlled and manipulated like a ‘human drone’, and it featured prominently in the band’s Drones World Tour live shows. Beyond its role as a fan‑favourite album cut, the song gained further exposure through its inclusion in the 2019 Netflix action film 6 Underground.
