Movie Sheet Music
About Movie
In the history of movies, music has always played an important role, even back at the very beginning with silent films. Despite the title, silent films were always accompanied by live music in the cinema, for example, by a pianist playing sheet music or improvising. The music created the atmosphere around the movie and gave the audience emotional cues. In 1929, the ability to synchronise music and sound with the images became possible, thus creating movie music as we know it today.
Nowadays, most great films have brilliant music and some of the most important movie scenes have been defined by outstanding music. Music helps illustrate the story and adds to the atmosphere. It also helps create an emotional connection between the viewer and the film.
From James Bond to Star Wars, the music is a vital part and is often the first thing that comes to mind when we hear the film title. In the words of director Martin Scorcese, ‘Music and film are inseparable. They always have been and always will be’.
Tomplay offers a wide selection of movie sheet music, which is available for all instruments and levels. Play movie sheet music from films like Coco and La La Land. Tomplay provides orchestral accompaniments recorded by professional musicians, and many pieces are available in several levels of difficulty so everyone can give them a go.
